My Top 5 Cheap Trick Songs

Today is Robin Zander's 60th birthday. Cheap Trick has always been one of my favorite bands. I put them in the Hall and Oates category in that they had a lot of success but not ever put in the all time greats category by the "experts". In the grand scheme of things, I don't care. Music has never been about what is cool, just what I like. Cheap Trick was an odd success story in that they released a bunch of stuff that failed to chart. They ultimately hit it big with a live version of a previously released song. Their initial success was in Japan. Once that song hit it big, many of their previous songs became "known".
Enjoy

5 Songs That Should Have Been Bigger Hits Than They Were Volume 1

I listen to a lot of music. I find songs from so many different sources that I lose track if they were ever hits at all. What got me thinking about this was my number 1 song for 2011, Gotye's song "Somebody That I Used To Know". When I first heard it back in October, I thought, "what a cool different song?"
I assumed that it would become one of those great songs that no one knows. The other day, a friend of mine told me that she just heard it on Mix 106.5. This is a station that if the song is played on their station, it will not be one of "those" songs.  Looking back, sometimes I'm surprised that not only were songs not hits but they either bombed or no one knows them at all. Here are 5 tracks that I can't believe weren't huge hits.
