Early 80's Rock had a a different sound than the new bands of the early MTV Days. All of these artists had success before MTV although Pat Benatar's career took off during MTV's heyday.
Good music isn't always easy to find. I'll try to help you find some that may not always be playing on the radio. I'm a fan of pop rock but listen to a little of everything. Some of this music is popular, some is not and all should be.

Friends Top List Series (Bud Verge All Time Top 10)
Doing this blog in combination with Facebook has introduced me to some music I didn't know. It also introduced me to some great new people who also share my love of all things music. One of my new music friends is Bud Verge, who quite possibly has more songs in his MP3 collection than I do. Here is Bud's email and his explanation of his list.
