My Top 5 The Psychedelic Furs Songs

 My blog has reached 40,000 today. For that occasion, I decided to do a post on one of my all time favorite bands. The Psychedelic Furs were one of the first bands that really struck a chord with me back in the early days of MTV. Richard Butler's voice was very different from any other singers at the time. They clearly had roots in punk rock but combined that perfect keyboard sound that was a huge part of early new wave music. It was very hard to pick these but here they are.

5. The Psychedelic Furs - Alice's House

This was an album track from their fourth album "Mirror Moves". It was released in 1984 and is still my favorite.

4. The Psychedelic Furs -All That Money Wants

This was the sole new song and single from their first greatest hits, "All Of This and Nothing". It was released in 1988 and did not chart on US Chart. It did reach number 1 on the US Modern Rock Chart.

3. The Psychedelic Furs - Until She Comes

This was the first single from the 1989 album "World Outside". It did not chart in the US but was a hit on the Modern Rock Charts.

This is the second single from the "Mirror Moves" album. It reached number 59 on the US Charts but was a huge modern rock chart. It garnered more attention when the Counting Crows covered it in the 90's. There was no other song that I considered for my favorite than this one.
