6 Great Songs From The 80's Volume 20

Here's a quick 80's post. It includes a few pretty obscure songs that I haven't heard in a few years.















Bongo's - Number With Wings
The Bongo's were a New Jersey based band from the early 80's. I'm not sure how I heard of them other than  a quick run on MTV. This is from the 1983 album of the same name.They featured Richard Barone on lead vocals.

Translator - Everywhere That I'm Not
This is the first single from their 1982 debut album "Heartbeats and Triggers". It was a hit on college radio.

The dB's - A Spy In The House Of Love
This was also a college radio hit in 1984. It was from their third album, "Like This".

XTC - Earn Enough For Us
This was the third single from their very popular 1986 album "Skylarking". It also contain the hit "Dear God".

Elvis Costello - The Only Flame In Town (W Daryl Hall)
This is the third single from the 1984 album "Goodbye Cruel World". It featured Daryl Hall on vocals.

Blotto - I Wanna Be A Lifeguard
This was a hit in the first year of MTV. It was from their first album "Hello, My Name is Blotto".
