For my 20,000th page view, I am posting a Top 10 of one of my favorite types of music, Ska. I love this type so much that I could not narrow it down to just 5 so 10 it is. Enjoy.
10 Joe Jackson - Look Sharp
Just one of the best musical artist ever. He has done so many types of music over his amazing career. Ska was one of his best.
9 Sublime - Date Rape
These guys had so many great songs, but it wasn't hard picking their best.
8 The Equals - Police On My Back
This is was Eddy Grant's first band. Of course he would have a huge solo hit, "Electric Avenue".
7 The Clash - Rock The Casbah
Another great band. It was hard picking my favorite from them.
6 Joe Jackson - Beat Crazy
This is my favorite ska song from Joe Jackson. I think I will do a top 5 list for him later.
5 Buck O'Nine - My Town
These guys weren't super popular but this has always been one of my favorites.
4 Madness - One Step Beyond
The next 4 songs easily could be interchanged. I never get sick of this song.
3 The English Beat - Mirror in the Bathroom
They were known just as "The Beat" in England but there was already a band in the United States called "The Beat"or "Paul Collin's Beat".
2 The Mighty Mighty Bosstones - Another Drinkin' Song
This is from a great CD called " Let's Face It". Easily the best song on it though.
1 The Specials - A Message to Rudy
Just a perfect pop song. I could listen to this over and over and often have.
