The 80's always are looked upon as one big group of songs but when you look closer you see that it is a much more diverse collection of music. There were the new wave songs, r and b and rock to name a few types. Here are 6 that were in the latter.
Jackson Browne - That Girl Could Sing
Just a really good pop song. Jackson Browne had a stretch where he could do no wrong.
Foreigner - Urgent
This was the first single from the wildly successful album "4".
Sammy Hagar - Your Love Is Driving Me Crazy
I still never get sick of this song. Sammy would of course go on to replace David Lee Roth in Van Halen.
Bryan Adams - Straight From the Heart
This was from Bryan's first hit album, "Cuts Like A Knife". Little did he know how big his next few albums would be when this song was released in December of 1982.
Rush - Subdivisions
Just a great song from a great band who for some crazy reason is not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Golden Earring - Twilight Zone
These guys always seemed so cool to me. This was a huge hit on radio and on MTV.
