6 Great Songs From the 80's Volume 8

I turned 47 this week. It's amazing how time really does fly. It got me thinking to my days in High School. The early 80's were a great time for me both musically and in life in general. I was in high school, just started driving, had a job at Dunkin Donuts and of course was hanging out with girls. Life was good. Here are 5 songs from that time in my life.

Billy Joel -  Sometimes A Fantasy
Billy Joel had started down a new wave path for the Glass Houses album. It was an amazing album that started my path down the alternative music scene. It had a new sound than a lot of the standard rock at the time.

Eddie Money - Think I'm In Love
What can I say about this song and the album "No Control" which it came from. I wore the cassette out several times I listed to it so much.

Loverboy - Hot Girls In Love
This song came out the summer after I graduated high school. My friends and I would drive around on those summer nights and listen to this over and over.

Elton John - Empty Garden
This was Elton's song that he wrote for John Lennon. I seem to remember this starting him back on a comeback.

Blue Oyster Cult - Burnin For You
This was their "other" hit that came out in 1980. I liked it as much as "Don't Fear The Reaper" although it doesn't have as much cow bell.

Climax Blues Band - I Love You
I remember looking for this on 45 and the record store always being out. It wasn't until years later that I finally acquired this song.
