5 Songs On My iPod Volume 7

I went into the office today for the first time in over a week so that allowed me to listen to some music. My 16 mile drive sometimes take close to an hour although today was around 35 minutes. Here are some songs that came up during my drive to and from work.

Crowded House - Never Be The Same
This is a track off of their 2nd album "Temple Of Low Men" which I think is probably their best album. I wore this album out, purchasing it several times in both cassette and cd format. Neil Finn is still one of the best singer / songwriters.

Wye Oak - Civilian
This is a Baltimore band and this song was used in several episodes of the Walking Dead although I didn't know either of those facts until I did a little research for this post. I'm not sure how I originally came across this band but I'm assuming that it was on WTMD.

Beck - Gamma Ray
Beck has always been an enigma to me. He has always been a little too odd for me but periodically he surprises me with songs like this. As for much of my musical tastes, this has an 80's vibe which in turn had a 60's vibe. Great song.

Red Rider - Human Race
Tom Cochrane, the lead singer of Red Rider had some nice hits with Red Rider and as a solo artist. This is from one of the later Red Rider albums, "Neruda".  I wish he would have continued his trend towards new wave sounds but he went more in a American sound for his solo records. I still liked his solo stuff, just like this better.

Jason Falkner - She Goes To Bed
Jason Falkner has been in the bands The 3 O'Clock, Jellyfish, The Grays and a solo artist. This is from his first solo album, "Jason Falkner Presents Author Unknown". He is a very underrated artist and always wished he would have had more success.
