6 Great Songs From the 80's Volume 19

I'm on a roll, doing 2 posts this week. I will be doing some older bands, starting next week with Fleetwood Mac and Led Zeppelin but figured I would do an 80's before that. Enjoy

Captain Sensible - Wot
Captain Sensible, AKA Raymond Burns, was a founding member of The Damned. He started a solo career and had some success with this clever song. It's nothing like The Damned but still a great song.

Sparks - Cool Places
Formed in 1971, Sparks had some success in England and France but were never huge. I remember this song from the early MTV days and because Jane Weidlin from The Go Go's was in it.

Icehouse - Crazy
Icehouse is an Australian band consisting of one main member, Ira Davies. This was a huge worldwide hit from the album, "Man of Coulors". Great mullet.

The Call - Let The Day Begin
The Call was an alternative rock band from California. This was probably their biggest hit from the album of the same name.

X - 4th of July
X was a punk rock band formed in 1977 with Exene Cervenka and John Doe sharing vocals. By the time the album "See How We Are" came out in 1987, they were far from a punk rock band.

Haircut 100 - Favorite Shirt
Formed in 1981, Haircut 100 had several hits before lead singer Nick Heyward went solo. This is from the album, Pelican West".
