My good friend Bob "The Wheel" Popik has been getting on me for not including any Smiths Songs on my blog. He's the DJ at Camden Yards so if you ever hear The Smiths or Morrisey while taking in an Oriole Game, that is why. He's obsessed with them.
Back to my blog. I love the Smiths so I'm not sure how they haven't appeared in any of my lists. That being said, I also have not had any Depeche Mode or Led Zeppelin and they are both 2 of my favorite bands. Here are my favorite Smiths songs.
5. The Smiths - Panic
It was a toss of between this and Reel Around The Fountain. The line, "Hang the DJ" sealed it for me.
4. The Smiths - Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others
Any song that references big girls is funny to me.
3. The Smiths - Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before
This is from the album "Strangeways Here We Come". It was actually the first Smiths album I bought. I was a fan ever since.
2. The Smiths - What Difference Does It Make?
The beauty of discovering a band 4 albums in is that you find music like this. It almost made my number 1.
1. The Smiths - How Soon Is Now
This is the biggest song from the Smiths off of their self titled first album. It's a true classic in every sense of the word.
