It was a good day today. Katie had her opening day for softball and won 2 games then we took her and her "friend" to get Sushi. Life is good and busy. This is my first time in a week to make a post. Here are 5 songs I heard today.
Colin Hay - Are You Looking At Me?
I've been on a Men At Work kick this week and that led me to listen to some Colin Hay. This is a great song from his very underrated solo work.
Orangutang - Shiny Like Gold
Orangutang was a Boston based band with roots from Baltimore. They had some former members of Disappear Fear. They released 1 CD, "Dead Sailor Acid Blues". This was from that 1994 release.
Boyce Avenue - Just The Way You Are
Boyce Avenue is a pop rock band from Florida who have released 2 CD's. They have also released several cover CD's and do some cool versions of pop and rock songs. This is a cover of Bruno Mars.
The xx - Night Time
The xx is an indie band from England. They have released 1 CD, their 2009 self titled release, "The xx". This is an album cut from that CD.
Joan Jett - Love Is All Around
This is a very cool cover of the Mary Tyler Moore them. This was used for the NCAA women's final four and later released on her Greatest Hits.
