6 Great Songs From The 80's Volume 28

The Orioles were eliminated from the ALCS tonight. It was a great season but ran into a team having a more magical season. Now that it's over for 2014, I'll spend some more time listening to music. Here are 5 songs for the great decade, the 80's.
Enjoy

1. U2 - Like A Song

"Like A Song" is a album cut from their 3rd album, "War". The album was released in 1983. It was never released as a single and still is one of my favorites.

2. The Vandals - Ladykiller

Ladykiller is the first track from their 1984 debut album "When in Rome Do as the Vandals". It was not released as a single but it's popularity grew as their cult status did.

3. Gene Loves Jezebel - Heartache

Heartache was the third single off of the great 1986 album "Discover". It reached number 71 on the UK Charts.

4. Peter Murphy - My Last Two Weeks

"My Last Two Weeks" is an album cut from the 1988 album "Love Hysteria". It was not released as a single although it was used in a few movies. It was played at the credits in the Jennifer Love Hewitt movie "Can't Hardly Wait".

5. R.E.M - (Don't Go Back To) Rockville

"Don't Go Back To Rockville" was the second single from their 1984 album "Reckoning". It did not chart at all but became a huge hit for them throughout the years. It has also been covered by many artists including 10,000 Maniacs.

6. Love and Rockets - Haunted When The Minutes Drag

"Haunted When The Minutes Drag" was an album cut off of their debut 1985 album "Seventh Dream of Teenage Heaven". It was not released as a single but it was later featured on the great soundtrack to "She's Having a Baby".
