6 Great Songs From the 80's Volume 12

Here are 6 more that were not huge songs but really remind me of a certain time. Some were more obscure than others.

The Beautiful South - Song For Whoever
Although this band never hit it big here in the States, they were huge in England. They formed after the Housemartins broke up.

Tones on Tail - Go
Tones On Tail was a side project of Daniel Ash after the Bauhaus broke up and before he formed Love and Rockets.

The March Violets - Turn To Sky
I didn't hear much from this band except for the two songs that appeared on the soundtrack for "Some Kind of Wonderful". I love this track along with their cover of the Stones' "Miss Amanda Jones".

Prefab Sprout - When Love Breaks Down
Prefab Sprout did not have any hits in the US but scored several in the UK. This is from their 1985 release, "Steve McQueen".

Danny Wilson - Mary's Prayer
Another band who I don;t know much about other than this song which actually reached number 30 in the US and number 3 in the UK. Their name is taken from the Frank Sinatra movie, "Meet Danny Wilson".

Stabilizers - One Simple Thing
This band had a minor hit with this release from the 1986 album "Tyranny". It reached 93 in the US. I don't remember how I even knew this song. Great 80's track.
