6 Great Songs From the 70's Volume 4

First of all, I know the posts have been few and far between. I'm hoping when summer winds down, they will pick up to a few a week. Until then, here is a new one featuring some forgotten 70's hits. I was hanging with some friends this weekend and a few of these came up via request. Good job Jim. Enjoy.

Billy Swan - I Can Help
Billy Swan scored a huge hit in 1974 with "I Can Help". He was also successful writing for other artists like Conway Twitty, Waylon Jennings and Mel Tillis.

Gallery - Nice To Be With You
Gallery was a one hit wonder with this track in 1972. This song is also credited as "Jim Gold and Gallery".

Marshall Tucker Band - Heard It In A Love Song
Marshall Tucker Band was a southern rock band from the 70's. There is not a band member named Marshall Tucker. The name came from a a piano tuner from the town where the band originated.

James Gang - Funk # 49
James Gang was a band that Joe Walsh played guitar for in the late 60's. Of course Joe Walsh would later have a successful solo career and as a member of the band "The Eagles".

Badfinger - No Matter What
Originally named the Iveys and signed to the Beatles label, Apple Records, Badfinger had a string of 4 hit singles. This is from their debut full length record, "No Dice".

The Records - Starry Eyes
The Records were another one hit wonder from the late 70 with this track, a hit in the summer of 1979.
