My Top 5 New Order Songs

New Order was created in 1980 by the remaining members of Joy Division after the death of lead singer and songwriter, Ian Curtis. Starting as a goth sounding guitar oriented band, they gradually evolved to a mainly electronic sound. Although they never achieved the superstar status of other 80's bands like The Cure and Depeche Mode, they were very successful. I seemed to like their guitar based songs the most.
Here is my top 5.

5. New Order - Love Less
This was from the 5th album, "Technique". It was released in 1989 and although not a single, this was my favorite song on the album.

4. New Order - Paradise
From the album, "Brotherhood". This is easily my favorite album from New Order. It also included their breakout single, "Bizarre Love Triangle". Although it would become a huge hit, the album was not a big seller.

3. New Order - Weirdo
Another great track from "Brotherhood". I could have made the case for 5 other songs from this album.

2. New Order - Age Of Consent
A great track from the album, "Power, Corruption and Lies". This is the first album to start relying on keyboards in many of their songs. It was a sign of things to come. I almost made this my number one but....

1. New Order - Love Vigilantes
This song was off of the 1985 album, "Low Life". Amazingly this was not a single. It's amazing how big some songs can be and were never released as a single. It had a Beatles vibe to it.
