5 Songs On My iPod Volume 17

I'm going crazy. I don't do a post in over a week and tonight I do two. Enjoy

Daryl Hall - Why Was It So Easy?
This is from Daryl's first solo CD, "Sacred Songs". It was  recorded in 1977 but was not released until 1980 due to concerns from RCA that it was not commercial enough.. Is was produced by Robert Fripp so it has a very odd production to it but I think it works. It's a very odd and quirky love song.

Great Lake Swimmers - Your Rocky Spine
I discovered this song several years ago when it was used as a bumper song during American Idol. You just never know where you will find something good.

The Guggenheim Grotto - Fee Da Da Dee
I have no idea how I know this song but it's become one of my favorites. They do this song really cool live version in their acoustic shows.

The Jam - The Bitterest Pill (I Ever Had To Swallow)
The Jam was such a great band from the 80's. Paul Weller went on to form The Style Council and then have a great solo career. This song was not on an album but was released as a single and was a huge hit in England. They broke up shortly after.

U2 - Party Girl
This, to my knowledge is only released as a live version on the great, "Under A Blood Red Sky" live album and as B Side to the single "A Celebration". It was originally called "Trash, Trampoline and the Party Girl". Either way, its a great song.
