So today I hit 6000+ hits on this blog since the end of December. Not bad considering the only real source to promote it is my Facebook Account and the 10 people that follow me on Twitter. I would mention Google Plus but it's like a ghost town in there. Anyway, here are 5 songs that popped up on my iPod this week.
The BoDeans - Fade Away
The Bo Deans were always a cool group to me. They were the Counting Crows before the Counting Crows. I recently started listening to them again when my buddy Todd mentioned Sam Llanis in his blog last week.
Bon Iver - I Can't Make You Love Me
Bon Iver is a band consisting of one main guy, Justin Vernon. They (He) have been around for a while which is why I thought it was weird when they (He) won "Best New Artist" this year at the Grammy's. Anyway, this is a nice cover of the Bonnie Raiit's classic.
Our Lady Peace - Allowance
This is the first song from their latest CD Curve although it is not the first single. Our Lady Peace has always been a favorite of mine. I always thought they should have been bigger here in the States. They are big in Canada which is like David Hasselhoff's popularity in Germany I guess.

The Cure - A Night Like This
Heard this on Sirius on Sunday and think it's a very overlooked song by them. This is off of the album "Head On The Door".
Travis - Why Does It Always Rain On Me
The Counting Crows released their latest CD on Tuesday. It's a cover CD of some very obscure bands or obscure songs. I have to admit, I am very bored with it. That being said, they cover an obscure Travis song called "Coming Around". I wasn't a huge fan of the original or their cover. I did love this song though so I copied to my iPod and it came up yesterday.
